Voting
Voting in the upcoming municipal election in October is easier than ever. To make your voice heard, you don't even need to leave your house; you can vote by telephone or online. In early October, keep an eye on your mail; you will receive a letter from the township containing a unique personal code. This code is your key to the secure voting system, allowing you to cast your ballot in just a few minutes.
Who can Vote? You must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old. If you live in the township, own propery or are a tenant here, you and your spouse have a right to vote. This includes cottagers and other seasonal residents.
When can I vote? Voting will start on the morning of October 19th and is open to vote day or night until October 26th at 8:00 PM
Am I on the List? Anyone's name who is on the tax bill should receive the voter letter from the township and you will be able to vote.
Can I get on the list to vote? If you meet the qualifications mentioned above, you are eligible to vote! It is important to check the list if:
A family member recently turned 18
Someone has moved back home or joined your household
You are a spouse and not named on the tax bill
You are a tenant living in the Township
How to Register? You can add your name or update your information online at vreg.registertovoteon.ca. This is the official provincial portal used for our municipal elections.

Your vote is important to elect a council that you believe will make well thought out decisions. If your voice is not heard at the ballot box, it is much easier to ignore your priorities.
